There is still room in Shane Watson’s Life Drawing Class:  registration deadline is Monday, August 29.

For anyone who feels rusty, or wants to learn how to draw the figure, or is just wanting to learn to draw in a structured environment, Shane Watson will be teaching a 10 week life drawing course this fall, from September 12 – November 14.

The class will be held at the Orcas Center Madrona Room on Monday nights from 6-9. The first five weeks will focus on the basics of figure drawing, proportion and loose gesture sketches. The second five weeks will focus on head, hands feet, form, shadow and longer focused drawings. Cost is $350.

Shane has been an active member of the Orcas Life Drawing Group since 2010. He is a self-taught artist/illustrator and runs his own illustration/graphic design company on Orcas. Not only does he have a great talent and passion for life drawing, he also has a natural tendency toward helping others learn.

Shane is the Community Director for the online community CGHub.com, a website for artists and illustrators from the game and entertainment industry. He has created and oversees several activities and art challenges there designed to help artists expand and grow in their skills in art, both digitally and traditionally.
