Thanks to all that stepped up to support us for this year’s Technology GiveOrcas Grant in OICF’s 2018 Spring grant cycle. In result of your donations and OICF, we are building a program to help seniors gain and maintain technical skills they need to remain connected and relevant in today’s computer-dependent world.
Orcas Senior Center nonprofit (OSC) will provide elders access to technology equipment (via implementation of weekly computer labs and loaner equipment), and learning including; (1) Workshops teaching device utilization, accessing services online, (2) Access to telemedicine, technological interventions, and (3) A stipend will be offered to participants for individual consultations.
In June, we will create a committee to implement and support this initiative; if you are interested in participating, please contact Sara or Kristin via orcasseniorcenter@gmail.com or 360-376-2677.
