At a Special Meeting of the Orcas Island School Board on Wednesday 9/30/09 and after extensive deliberation, the determination was made to hire the architectural firm,  Mahlum,  for our proposed upcoming bond projects. These projects will involve the design and construction of new spaces for the cafeteria, music, library, middle school and career and technical education.

We received proposals from 17 of the best architectural firms in the region. We then held public interviews of  nine of those firms on September 23rd and 24th.

Thanks to all in the community who provided input and helped us to select Mahlum as our architectural firm for our upcoming bond projects.
