From Ingrid Gabriel, San Juan County Council Clerk

Tuesday, March 5, 6 p.m. at the Eastsound Fire Hall

The second of four Community Conversations will focus on the issue of “Public Services.”

Building on the previous discussion on “Quality of Life,” islanders will be asked to discuss two major questions. First, what public services are essential to their quality of life, and how can service providers (local districts, not-for-profits, the County government, or partnerships between these sectors) maintain or improve services without increasing costs? Second, what specific services does the County do well, and what specific services could be done better? These questions will further focus the ongoing conversation and lead into the next series of meetings in April on “Economy and Jobs.”

Child care is available at the Orcas FunHouse Commons and pizza will be provided to the children. Please contact the FunHouse Commons (360-376-7177) for information regarding their child care policies.
