Spring is in full swing and that means Salmonberry School’s annual Preschool and Kindergarten Open House is coming up.
On Sunday May 16th from 10:00 to 1:00 the early childhood classroom will be open for visitors. Lead Teacher Linda Ellsworth and Program Director Paul Freedman will be on hand to answer questions and tour families through the school. Children will be welcome to engage in simple craft activities, play in the playground, enjoy a snack and visit with Ricky, the resident chameleon.
Salmonberry is currently enrolling 3 to 6 year olds for the Fall of 2010. Its early childhood program offers a holistic learning experience that nurtures the intellectual and imaginative capabilities of each child. The school provides an experientially rich environment in which confidence, compassion, and responsibility are strengthened through cooperative community learning.
Salmonberry is unique on Orcas Island in offering a holistic educational pathway from preschool through the elementary grades. To learn more, visit the school’s website at www.salmonberry.org or call 376-6310.
