EVERETT, Wash. – Today, Representative Rick Larsen (WA-02) released the following statement:
“I am honored that my friends and neighbors in Northwest Washington have sent me back to DC to fight for them. Thank you for participating in our safe and secure election.
“My message is simple: Affordability for you. Accountability for the President and his cronies.
“I will also continue to bring investments home to Northwest Washington, combat fentanyl in our communities, protect reproductive freedom, and support our veterans.
“The House Democrats have secured a majority. Within the majority, my job will be to ensure Democrats are laser-focused on lowering costs for working families across America, which includes reversing the cost-raising tariffs, ending the war in Iran, and reining in the Trump administration. Families in Northwest Washington need relief, and I will work within the majority to deliver results.
“Thank you to those who joined my campaign and knocked 31,000+ doors, called 100,000+ voters, and cast a ballot to support my grassroots campaign. My campaign has reached tens of thousands of voters all across Northwest Washington, and my win would not be possible without their support.
“Thank you to my spouse, Tiia, for her constant support. My work for our community would not be possible without her.
“Thank you to my dedicated and hardworking staff and interns who worked day in and day out to reach voters and kept my campaign on track every day.
“Thank you to everyone who made tonight’s results possible. It is an honor to represent the 2nd District, and I will fight to lower your costs and hold the Trump administration accountable for its corruption.”
Rick Larsen has called Northwest Washington home for over 100 years. Rick has represented Northwest Washington in Congress and is taking nothing for granted. He is committed to lowering costs for working families, holding the administration accountable and bringing federal dollars back home to invest in jobs and infrastructure.
