Washington’s phased approach: Today Gov. Jay Inslee announced a phased approach Washington state will use for reopening businesses and modifying physical distancing measures. Every phase will still require social distancing and appropriate health precautions including the use of personal protective equipment in a number of workplaces. Watch Gov. April 30 telebriefing on testing: During this telebriefing, Charissa Fotinos, MD and Reed Schuler provided an update on the testing process including the variety of testing kits currently being utilized, when to consider being tested, testing guidance, antibody testing, supply chains, and some of the setbacks in testing process.

Emergency order 30 days for waiving deductibles and copays for coronavirus testing extended to June 3: Insurance Commissioner Mike Kreidler extended his emergency order to Washington state health insurers for 30 days, requiring them to waive copays and deductibles for any consumer requiring testing for coronavirus.
