Would this position be supplemental to that of the Airport Manager, or is this position akin to an interim AM?
Would this person handle records requests? Who would handle them at the end of the 3 months? If this person works out and it is found that having them do these jobs is more efficient, less costly, and leaves the manager free to handle day-to-day operations of the airport, would this 3-month contract be renewed or extended into something more long-term?
Hi Fred,
Having been without a full time airport manager for an extended period of time, we think it prudent to have someone already adept at the above mentioned tasks come in and get us in order.
This is neither a supplemental or interim AM position. More of a prayer sent out through the ether hoping for a small miracle.
the orcas island airport is an essential facility.
it is not a political thing,
it needs to stay open for the benefit of all of us.
battery-powered airplanes are a fantasy.
mia, get real.
Scott, as you previously suggested maybe get outside go for a walk, take a break from throwing stones from your ivory tower on Kauai. Try not to pick on the help man, it’s just not sporting like…
Luther, thank you. i would like to meet you in person some day.
you are thinking, not just reacting.
i have enjoyed our interactions.

Hi Sadie,
Yes to records requests to/from this new position.
We intend to have a new manager in place prior to the end of the three month period and will (re)assess any staffing needs as we move forward.
