Orcas Island Unitarian Universalist Service this Sunday

The Orcas Island Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will begin its church year this Sunday, Sept. 9, with a Water Ceremony and Ingathering. The service takes place from 11 a.m. to noon at the West Sound Community Center, near the corner of Deer Harbor Road and Crow Valley Road.

You are invited to bring some water to add to the communal whole and tell us a story about where it comes from and/or why it matters to you. For more information, visit the OIUUF website.

Most of her work has been on research reports, curriculum materials, and corporate communications for nonprofit research organizations, including the American Institutes for Research, SRI International, and the Electric Power Research Institute. She moved to Orcas full-time in 2011, after she and her husband built a "summer place" in 2001.
