Orcas Island junior rowers gathered on and under the bridge over Cascade Lake to wish the WA State Parks system a happy 100th birthday. The park and most especially Cascade Lake have a special place in their hearts. It is the home of their club. It is a place they are intimately familiar with spending many hours there in all kinds of conditions, most often at the crack of dawn. The people of Orcas Island Rowing love this place and the park system it is a part of. The photograph is by Martin Taylor.
