Please note that the Orcas Health Care District Meeting Agenda for June 24th has been published today June 23, 2026. If my understanding is correct, procedurally that means because comments on Dr. Manske’s termination were requested to be submitted by noon on June 22, 2026, the topic of Dr. Manske and the way her termination was handled as well as our interim healthcare requirements will not be part of the meeting agenda. It surely is the case that the Board will NOT comment on the topic and it may also be the case that they may or may not choose to listen to all comments. I want to express my consternation. I am a 77 year old senior women who knows that what happened around Dr. Manske’s termination was simply wrong. I am thankful for those in our community that are educating me about procedures but geez guys, I’m doing the best I can to keep this topic relevant and I honestly thought I was living in a community that was kinder and more responsive to our needs.
