Wassail with Orcas A Cappella Dec. 6 and 8 at the Moran Mansion in Rosario

Orcas A Cappella invites you to a yuletide celebration at Rosario mansion.

The holiday event is an evening of song, feasting and holiday cheer. The choir will be joined by special guests, Susan Osborn and Ann Palmer as well as harpist, Mary Will Allen.

The performance, conducted by director Dennis Bonner and associate director Angel Michaels, will present music from the 14th to the 20th centuries including arrangements by Ralph Vaughn Williams and John Rutter (a couple of the most gifted arrangers) and compositions by Damijan Mocnik (a recent visiting conductor). The choir will sing two of its favorite
“Ave Maria”s and caroling will include holiday favorites.

Before the musical program begins, feast on the delectable appetizers prepared by Mary Russell and Ron Redman from the Orcas Village Store.

A no host bar is available at The Moran Room in the mansion.

The event, on Orcas, will be held on two different evenings; Monday, December 6th at 6:30 p.m. and again on Wednesday, December 8th at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 per person and are available at Darvill’s and at Rosario resort. Seating is limited and tickets must be purchased by November 24th.

There will be a concert-only performance on Lopez island on December 5th at Grace Church beginning at 4:00 p.m. Admission is by donation.
