Tuesday, Nov. 29 from 5 p.m. at Kaleidoscope on North Beach Road
Kaleidoscope Preschool & Child Care Center has officially opened its new toddler and infant classrooms.
The mission of Kaleidoscope for the past 20 years has been to “provide safe, affordable, high-quality, consistent childcare and preschool while supporting Orcas Island families.”
Since January of 2008, resources and in kind donations amounting to more than $160,000 were donated to complete this “Building for Families” project. Labor and materials from site prep to doors, windows, hardware, plumbing and electrical fixtures, appliances and countertops, took place in the last year and a half since ground was broken on the project. Earlier this fall, a building inspection completed the process and the doors to the infant and toddler classrooms were officially opened.
Kaleidoscope’s Business Manager, Nicole Munson, says, “Many local community members are to thank for this amazing accomplishment, and we would like to show you their generosity and quality work. Come by for snacks and a private tour of the new expansion.”
With the addition of the new classrooms, Kaleidoscope now serves children from 4 weeks to 12 years, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday. Call 376-2484.
Kaleidoscope is located at 1292 North Beach Road in Eastsound, on the web at OurKaleidoscopeKids.org and on Facebook.
