For the past six years, the Orcas Island Film Festival has been providing a world-class film experience on Orcas Island. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, sadly, we have to postpone our annual in-person film festival until next year, October 9-13, 2021.

In lieu of a festival this year, we will host special 5-film Drive-In series with something for everyone! September 15, 18, 19, 25 & 26.

We are also now presenting exciting virtual film screenings on our own online platform at www.orcasfilmfest.com with more than 16 films from around the world. We will continue to add new exclusive theatrical films for viewing in the safety of your own home regularly throughout the year.

At the beginning of the summer, we opened an innovative pop-up Drive-In movie theatre at Mount Baker farm in Eastsound, WA. We showed, E.T., Jurassic Park, Back to the Future, and a brand new film “Palm Springs,” along with a spectacular July 4th Laser Light show with a 5 piece Jazz band as an opener. It was a huge success and film lovers of all ages were able to have a night out under the stars.

Beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 15, we will start with a special premiere screening of the powerful new documentary “KISS THE GROUND” presented in partnership with OrcaSong Institute. Narrated by Woody Harrelson, “Kiss the Ground” is about a revolutionary group of activists, scientists, farmers, and politicians who banded together in the global movement of “Regenerative Agriculture” that can help balance our climate, replenish our vast water supplies, and feed the world. *Executive Producer John Roulac will be in attendance and will introduce the film.

The next offering on Friday, Sept. 18 will be big-budget Hollywood blockbuster for the whole family (to be announced).

On Saturday, Sept. 19, enjoy “STAGE MOM,” a new colorful culture-clash musical comedy starring Academy Award Nominated Actress Jacki Weaver, Lucy Liu, and Adrian Grenier.

We will have another blockbuster and new festival film for the weekend of Sept. 25 and 26.

View virtual cinema films, information, and ticketing at www.orcasfilmfest.com.

We hope you enjoy the films and the Drive-In experience and we look forward to our festival next year!
