December 12, 4:30 and 6 p.m., Orcas High School Gym

— from Charlie Bigbee —

For my leadership project at Orcas High School, I am hosting a white out game.

In 2004, Penn State’s student section hosted its first ‘White Out’ game. They had a stadium full of fans wearing white and collectively they cheered their team on to victory.

Orcas Island High School is hosting their first ever ‘White Out’ Game game on December 12. White is our school’s home color, and by matching the players uniforms with the entire attending community, we will show our support for Viking athletics.

The basketball game is open to the community and it’s strongly encouraged that all fans wear white clothing including shirts, socks, pants etc. to support school spirit.

The girls will play at 4:30 p.m. and the boys will play at 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome. This is the perfect way to support our community.
