— from Mindy Kayl, Volunteer Coordinator, Orcas Island Fire & Rescue —
Orcas Island Fire and Rescue Invites the Community to help us honor our newest volunteers and their families.
On Wednesday February 11, 6 p.m., at the Eastsound Fire Hall, Orcas Island Fire and Rescue will be holding a special meeting of the Board of Fire Commissioners to honor our graduating class of firefighter and EMT volunteers and their generous families. The firefighter recruit training began in early September 2014 and the EMT class took place last spring. All new members have already become valued volunteer responders.
OIFR continues to recruit new volunteer firefighters, EMTs, and non-response administrative help. We especially have needs for firefighters and EMTs in Doe Bay, Orcas, and Deer Harbor. Please contact Mindy Kayl at mkayl@orcasfire.org or call (360) 376-2331.
We hope to see you on February 11!
