Meeting also planned with County Council in Friday Harbor June 8
The Ferry Community Partnership meeting in Anacortes (originally scheduled for May 21) has been rescheduled. The meeting will now be held on Saturday, June 18 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the dining room of Cap Sante Court, 1111 32nd Street (One block west of Commercial Ave, Across the street from Storvik Park).
According to the Partnership, State Representatives Jeff Morris and Kris Lytton and State Senator Kevin Ranker are planning to attend this meeting. The purpose will be to review the outcomes of the current legislative session and plan strategies for identifying sustainable funding for ferries (both operational and construction budgets).
On Wednesday, June 8, David Moseley, head of Washington State Ferries, will be in Friday Harbor from 5:30 to 7 p.m. to host a community meeting in the Council chambers. He will make a presentation on current WSF issues and take questions from the audience.
County residents are invited to attend this meeting. It will be possible to email questions ahead of time and those who are not able to attend in person will be able to attend the meeting virtually via the Internet.
