The public is invited to join the League of Women Voters San Juans for their monthly membership meeting Monday, May 2nd at noon in the Friday Harbor library on Guard St. The format is a panel discussion the topic of which is “Civil Discourse: ARE the times A-Changin?”
A five member panel of experts will include David Kennedy, noted author and historian, Barbara Kline, superintendent of the Orcas school district, Lenore Bayuck, a Psychosocial Clinical Nurse Specialist, Lynne Hobbs, a professional facilitator, and Jack Cory, editor of the online Island Guardian newspaper will offer their observations after which attendees will be encouraged to participate in the moderated discussion.
