This young chickling gathered eggs in her bucket

A tender young chickling at the Lions Easter Egg Hunt

By Margie Doyle

The Orcas Lions Club held its annual Easter Egg Hunt at YMCA Camp Orkila on Saturday morning, as kids of all ages, from the youngest newborn to white-haired grampas, searched for colored eggs on the north beach lawns of the camp.

Lion Bob Jonas wore a white furry suit for the second year in a row, and when asked, “Mr. Bunny, what’s your first name?” growled out, “Peter” without missing a beat.

Different areas of the site by the ampitheater were sectioned off for children of varying age groups. As always, the hunt was quickly over, but visitors lingered to greet the Easter Bunny, visit with neighbors and take pictures on a beautiful sunny day.
