Last night Hedrick Smith’s documentary entitled “Poisoned Waters” played to a sold out crowd at the Orcas Center. After the showing, there was an animated question and answer session. People were energized and excited to know what they could do to make a positive difference. Good ideas were bantered about, but it was my impression that many people left hungry for more information.
People wanting to really better understand how Puget Sound works and what makes it such a special place, can read the “How Puget Sound Works” page on the SeaDoc website: https://www.seadocsociety.org/node/329
People wanting to know how they can make a difference, can learn the top ten principles for designing healthy ecosystems, which also is on our website:

I asked Phil, at the Orcas Library, to begin a Public File on Poison Water around Orcas Island and Puget Sound.
People want more information.
SeaDoc is the perfect leader. Among the requests:
Ratings of Toxins we put into our water:
*Cleaning and household chemicals
* Lawn and Weed chemicals
* Soaps and shampoos
How can we live differently to stop poisoning our water?
Please give Phil your resource access information and perhaps you know someone who would organize a library file on Awareness and Action Affecting our Water.
This presentation jolted us into Active Concern for our WATER. This is a chance for broad Life Style changes. Keep the water running through our minds.
Thanks. Jennifer
