||| FROM JOHN BERRY for SOULARTSPACEORCAS |||

I would like to know whom the selection committee for the artisans holiday fare would have been for this year. Why?

Could you please advise. Yes, your letter said and I paraphrase: “received 45 entrants, and please try again and maybe you will qualify, and thank you,” etc.

How is this responsible to a community member in the least? One that has built up the Makers Guild significantly, and produced significantly exceptional events at the Odds world class artists, and has spent their own money doing so. And NEVER taken a dime. How are YOU representing that which you are supposed to be representing?

This concerns me, as it should, being an advocate curator for the arts here of 30 years. And having been invited to Washington DC for the NEA and Americans for the Arts Convention in 2022 to support and share about the arts here, and people like you and your organizing analyzing culture mapping endeavors and whom I see has done well with NEA and other grants…and I have defended you from your very most vocal critic in the arts here.

What about those who supported you? And that you have extracted from? 30k + from LTAC for this and earthday event, I believe. Yes? These behaviours in this manner are a detriment to the actual makers here, and is becoming the new normal for many of the newer producers following in this kind of wake: Gathering LTAC cash for their inner circle.

Boo. Hiss.

Please support your position of my work or others being rejected for this annual event and the criteria of such a position.
