There is much to celebrate in the progress achieved at EWUA over the past decade. Paul Kamin’s legacy was in reducing the leaks in the system to about 5%. Saving water enhances the system for all members and provides for increased capacity in the long run.
Dan Burke relieved Paul and implemented technological improvements which increase operational effectiveness – allowing the team of water operators to accomplish their good work with greater efficiency.
To both Paul and Dan – and the team of trained and qualified water operators – we owe an expression of gratitude for the incredible work they do every day to ensure clean water is delivered to our homes and business.
One of the highlights of serving on the EUWA Board was the opportunity to see the water team in action – making emergent repairs, installing new water main conduit (piping) and tanks – all the while increasing their confidence and professional growth over time.
As a community and association of members – consider a simple “thank you” when you see someone with an EWUA hat or jacket. It may make them (and you) smile !

I agree, Joseph. Job well done. EWUA picked up DBWUA on our Doe Bay side of the island and its been great.
Yes. We should all give a big thank you to EWUA operators. Or better yet, let’s support them by providing EWUA with leadership that facilitates sound financial planning that ensures their job stability. And we should give a big thank you to the EWUA office staff, past and present, and honor them by providing EWUA with leadership that will implement policies to protect EWUA employees from entitled and abusive board members who belittle them and repeatedly cuss them out.
I wonder whom Tenar is talking about, Joe. Any idea?
