— from Linda Peth —
A truly island event happened Saturday night when creative fashion designers modeled their outfits at the Grange Hall’s Trashion Fashion Show. A variety of styles were made. Grocery bags, bubble wrap, magazine pages, feed sacks and egg cartons, soda cans, and a flashy silver ring of chewing gum wrapper were just a few of the materials used.
Everyone received a “trophy” and a round of applause.
Fashion descriptions by Dave Roseberry, catchy tunes by Carl Burger and Devil’s Fruitcake Band entertained, followed by yummy desserts and visiting. Leslie Seaman thanked everyone for attending.
It was noticed that two fashionable ladies in the audience wore 1940’s vintage dresses. Start dreaming and planning for your entry next year. Thank you for supporting The Grange Hall.
