Thank you for your ongoing remarkable support of the Orcas Community Emergency Response Fund (CER). Because you have contributed, as neighbors face job loss and health scares, they have a place to turn for critical support. Our nonprofits have completely stepped up and are expanding programs to meet the growing needs.
Attached please find the CER Fund report (updated this morning) and our most recent press release. I will be doing another Facebook live today at noon on the OICF FB page. If you have any questions, email me and I will respond either by email or during the FB presentation.
We will continue to need to fund mortgage and rent support through OPAL, critical medical, mental health, and utilities through OCRC, access to food through the food bank, and the efforts of the Shelter Task Force and Senior Center to help our most vulnerable neighbors. This is truly a community effort and our community is going to come out of this stronger, thanks to you.
