Letter to Editor | Katherine Bryant Ingman is County Council leadership for our future

Katherine Bryant Ingman represents the future leaders that I want to see locally and nationally. Energetic young people dreaming of a better future who are ready to listen and eager to work.

I met Katherine years ago when she led the wonderfully successful gleaning program through the newly founded Food Share at the Lopez Island Family Resource Center. Since then, I’ve observed her in other volunteer and work roles. Most recently Katherine impressed me as part of a dedicated team of Lopezians who worked endless hours to successfully transition our health clinic to a new provider, Sea Mar.

I believe Katherine has the ability to focus on many responsibilities competently while balancing work with healthy pleasures. I love seeing her running in the early morning or greeting friends when she grabs a coffee.

Katherine displays a positive attitude and joy in her life and work. This combined with her love of our island environment and knowledge of the issues our community cares about is why I’m enthusiastically supporting Katherine for San Juan County Council District 3.
