In conversations with Kari McVeigh, I know that she understands the unique challenges that our island communities face. We are a group of islands in the middle of the Salish Sea with tentative connections to the mainland.

She knows that we must take on the challenge of providing our own electricity. She understands that feeding ourselves will be vital. That water is a critical resource and we all need an affordable place to live.

When things get tough we will look to the County Council for leadership and we need Kari there.
