Leadership San Juan Islands (LSJI), a six-month program to promote community leadership in San Juan County, will hold an Orcas Island Open House on Sunday, Oct. 18.
The program, which is coordinated by Skagit Valley College and supported by various community organizations and non-profits, is currently recruiting for its 6th class, to begin in January 2010.
The Open House will be a gathering for LSJI Alums, friends and interested candidates for Class VI to learn more about the LSJI program, its importance to Community Leadership and how to apply for Class VI in 2010.
The event will run from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Oct. 18, with a light breakfast and conversation. It will be held at Heartwood House, 70 Langell Lane in, Eastsound, hosted by LSJI alumni Gretchen Krampf (’05) and Paul King (’08).
