||| FROM THE OFFICE OF REP. RICK LARSEN |||
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Rick Larsen (WA-02) released the below statement on the one-year anniversary of Putin’s illegal war in Ukraine:
“One year ago today, Vladimir Putin launched his unprovoked and unjustified war on Ukraine. The effects of Putin’s illegal war have been devastating, but one year later, Ukraine and Washington state’s Ukrainian American community stand strong.
“The United States, along with its NATO allies and partners, will continue to focus on responding to the Ukrainian government’s legitimate requests for humanitarian, military, diplomatic and economic aid and on holding Putin and his enablers accountable.
“The war in Ukraine can only end with Ukraine as an independent nation that controls its own borders, selects its own leaders and determines its own future.”

It’s tempting to consider what the definition of a “legal” war would look like.
Or their definitions of the terms “unprovoked” and “unjustified.” To think this conflict has not been taking place (with U.S. and ally interference) for many, many years would be an incorrect reading of history. Do I condone this war? No. I don’t condone any war. But the facts simply do not equate to this war being either “unprovoked,” or “unjustified.”
Though not on paper, sanctions (freezing assets, disruption of food, energy, and medical supplies, etc.) are often considered declarations of war. No-fly zones are considered on some levels to be declarations of war as well. And on a more subtle note… U.S. interference in other countries foreign policy (including elections, coups, and the assassinations of democratically elected foreign leaders), are also considered as acts of war. But, the reality is… it’s only considered an “act of war” when other country’s do it without prior consent from the U.S.
Call it what you want, but a rose by any other name still smells the same… what’s happening in Palestine today would be an example of a “legal war.” Actually, “legal genocide” would be more like it.
I will be happy to provide more detailed links to support this position:
The war in Ukraine started in 2014 when Undersecrety of State Victoria Nuland bragged about the US overthrowing the elected govt. of Ukraine (8 Billion as I remember) and famously said in a recorded phone call ” F- the EU ” Which was dragging it’s feet about the imposition of sanctions (for obvious economic reasons)

Victoria Nuland has been in state positions since the Clinton administration, and involved in the Ukrainian affair as part of the U.S. intervention team. Biden nominated her to serve as Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs under Secretary-designate Antony Blinken. It should not go unnoticed that Nuland’s husband, Robert Kagan, was co-founder (alongside Bill Kristol) of the neoconservative Project for the New American Century (PNAC).

Thank you, Michael
It’s pretty obvious that the Ukraine war is a “proxy” war between NATO, the US,and Russia, planned years ago, much like the planned war against China.
The last straw will be blaming Wuhan on the Covid lab leak, when it was Ralph Baric of UNC and the Pentagon under the cover of the Eco Health Alliance that moved the research to Wuhan when the US declared “Gain of Function” research too dangerous.
Ralph Baric of UNC showed the Wuhan lab how to manipulate the Covid bat virus.
The US will soon blame this on China. It will take a few years to work this into public discourse.
All virus research is dual-purpose.

According to the BBC, “Congress appropriated more than $112bn (for Ukraine) in 2022 alone.” Nearly half of that was military supplies, which OUR tax dollars purchased from the MIC at obscenely inflated prices. You want to know who is actually benefiting from this stupid fracas in the Ukraine? Follow the blood money! Including all the way back to the state retirement fund accounts, mutual funds, etc. that will invest in ANYTHING that brings in profits.
