Recovery in Community is marking the day by announcing Know Naloxone, a free community event coming to Orcas Island next month.
On Saturday, September 19th, RIC is partnering with Orcas Island Fire and Rescue to offer free American Red Cross naloxone certification training at the OIFR station. Doors open at 11:00 AM. Everyone who attends will receive a free naloxone kit to take home. Light refreshments will be provided.
Naloxone is a safe, easy-to-use medication that can reverse an opioid overdose. This training is for everyone.
RSVP is requested so OIFR can have the right number of certified instructors on hand. [RSVP link]
