Jean Lee was a long-time resident of Orcas Island, once a very useful volunteer at Orcas Center. She was a firm believer in God’s providence, and she was fortunate in having good friends, some of whom helped to rescue her from homelessness.

Jean Lee will be cremated, and her ashes scattered among the trees of Orcas Island, where she preferred to remain. At her request, there will be no memorial service.

Jean Lee asked that, if you wish to honor her, you might contribute toward the well-being of some other homeless or indigent woman, here on the island.

Later in the year, probably during the summer, Jean Lee’s possessions will be made available for all islanders to take. A notice will appear in Orcas Buy/Sell/Trade.
