||| FROM RICK HUGHES for HOPS ON THE ROCK |||
From a humble gathering of friends and breweries in 2017, Hops on the Rock has blossomed into the premier Destination Beer Festival on the West Coast. This iconic block party continues to grow and now includes an exciting lineup of vendors.
This year’s festival on Saturday November 9th 11 am – 4 pm boasts more than 25 beer, wine, and cider producers, all made in Washington State (2023 BREWERIES | Hops on the Rock)!
Breweries in attendance will include exciting projects like Structures, Stemma, and El Suenito, among many others, all showcasing their brews alongside local bands and culinary talents from Orcas Island.
Tickets are priced at $50 and are available online. Secure your tickets via the website at: www.hopsontherock.com, but act quickly as they’re expected to sell out!
The Hops on the Rock Committee is composed of local businesspersons, including Becca Gray (Island Hoppin’ Brewery), Tim Coffey (The Lower Tavern), Regan Vaughn (Smokestack Services), Carey Eskridge (Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce), Cole Sisson (Doe Bay Wine Company), Jacob Linnes (Island Market), and Rick Hughes (Ray’s Pharmacy and Island Life). They all believe that November is the most underrated time of the year to visit Orcas Island, and that enjoying beer is the most underrated excuse to do so.
Located in the San Juan Archipelago in northern Puget Sound, Orcas Island is often referred to as “The Gem of the San Juans”. Orcas is the largest and most geographically dramatic of the islands, making it a favorite destination for travelers from around the world.
