— from Grace McCune —

After having so much fun last year with the Christmas choirs, I have decided to do some Holiday Concerts this year again for both the “Rock on the Rock Singers” and “Musical Theater Youth Troupe”. This will be a very quick 4-session series to pull together some simple Holiday songs to spread Christmas cheer with music to our friends, family and community!

Both the “Rock on the Rock Singers” and “Musical Theater Youth Troupe” will meet in the Madrona Room at the Orcas Center on Thursdays starting Nov 21st (skipping Thanksgiving 11/28) for a 4 week series. The youth choir, ages 6-13, will meet from 3:30-4:30 and the adult choir, ages 16-99, will meet from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. These groups will then culminate in a free performance for the community at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Eastsound on Friday, December 20th.

To register for either class, show up on the day and time of the first class. There are no auditions. The cost is $40 for the 4-week series.

I look forward to seeing and singing with you all soon! After this is done I have big plans for our regular series starting on January 23rd where we’ll be singing music from the movie musical Moulin Rouge. There is a lot in the works right now for this- stay tuned for more info!
