— from The Seattle Times —
Washington State Parks is getting more adventurous with ways to get your getaway business. Now you can go “glamping” (glamour + camping) at Moran State Park on Orcas Island.
The state parks commission is partnering with Orcas-based Wanderlust Camps to provide cushy camping.
“Visitors can enjoy the island and park and look forward to a night of luxury in a classic canvas-wall tent featuring tasteful furnishings, a cushy queen-size bed and comfortable mattress fitted with luxury linens,” according to a state parks announcement.
Campers may reserve any of five walk-in glamping sites, for two to four people, in the park’s South End Loop. Costs for two “glampers” range from $119 to $219 per night plus tax.
