Please make a hat (or two). Each fall many children on our island pause before going outside to recess for fear of the cold. They lack hats, scarves, mittens, or gloves to keep them warm.
Beautiful Hands invites you, the generous Orcas community, to join with us in making and/or donating hats and such for distribution to our local children. Use your favorite pattern and washer-friendly yarns. Simple patterns are easily found online or in books at the library.
Items will be collected through the end of October at the Orcas Public Library and will be shared to local families in need. Thank you for your willingness to help our community. If you desire more information, please contact Anna Vedder at 360-632-0584.
