— from Jan Jacobsen —

John Willis continues his family’s gathering of weather records to this day, making it 125 continuous years of information gathered by the Willis family.  They are the only family in the nation who has kept the recordings going for this long.

At this month’s Garden Club meeting, John and Marlyn Myers will share their findings over the past year of different areas, different microclimates, here on Orcas.  Knowing our specific planting zones will help us all know how to plant.  It is also fascinating information and excellent information for newcomers to Orcas.
