Homework Club Every Day!

Get help with those tough school assignments (and get snacks too) after school at the FHC! Earn points throughout the year for finishing homework, and the kid who gets the most points wins a pizza party!

Baby/Toddler Playgroup
Tuesday mornings connect with other parents, get crafty in our art yurt, build a giant block fort and other fun activities.

Music Together® – Mary Wachter
This internationally recognized early childhood music education program is based on the premise that all children are musical and can develop their musical potential within a supportive learning environment. Music Together classes facilitate that growth by inspiring children and parents with song, dance, instruments and rhythm play. Each family receives a music CD and book. Family Science Club – KWIAHT scientists
This terrific parent/child science club is an intensive, hands-on program emphasizing fieldwork. KWIAHT is a local non-profit dedicated to understanding the historical ecology of the Salish Sea.
Second – Fifth Grades:
The elementary-level science club works directly with KWIAHT staff to explore the San Juan Islands from a scientific perspective. Meets monthly on Sundays.

Sixth – Eight Grade:
The middle school level will be focusing locating, testing, and preserving heritage Orcas tree fruit varieties, drawing on botany, genetics and food chemistry.
Meets monthly on Saturdays.
Space is limited!

Beginning Sewing – Beth Baker
Learn the basics of hand sewing, using a sewing machine, and working from a pattern. Register early as this class will fill up!

Fall Running Club
This year we will be offering our running program throughout the fall. Participants run two days a week and consistent runners earn prizes.

Math Olympiad
Our Math Club meets weekly to puzzle out mind bending problems with our awesome volunteer instructors (that includes Carl DeBoor, a world-renowned mathematician). Students get to participate in math contests, receive prizes, and develop problem solving skill while working as a team.
Wednesdays, 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.

4th – 6th Grade.

TEEN/ADULTS

Rockband! – Pete Moe
Sign up with your buddies and learn the basics of playing in a rock band! We focus on the basics of instruments, focusing on vocals/guitars/bass/drums. We learn about tuning our instruments and playing together. We learn about Amplification and other audio equipment. We will cover the basics of recording, and we will perform at Teen Night! Requirements:
* Interest-no musical experience required.
*A Group: we need at least one guitarist, one bass player, and a drummer. Ask your friends if they want to be in your band!

Beginning Guitar, Ukele, Violin Lessons – Mary Giampetro
Mary not only runs our amazing Music Together Program; she is also a talented multi-instrumentalist. You can be one too-and at a great price!

Fundamentals of Apple Macintosh computers. We will look at Mac operating system, e-mail, photos, music, Internet, downloads, and more.

Welcome 3rd Graders!

New 3rd Graders can now come to The Funhouse after school without a parent or guardian! Look for our adult chaperone under the maple tree at school for a safe walk to The Funhouse! Monday – Friday, 3 – 5:30 p.m.  We open at 12 p.m. on all early release days.

7th Graders are now welcome to attend Teen Night!  Friday & Saturday, 6 – 8:30 p.m.

Welcome 9th Graders!

New 9th graders can now stay for High School Teen Night hours! Friday & Saturday, 6 -11:00 p.m.
