In order to keep the Mammogram Van coming to Orcas, they need enough people to sign up to justify the trip up here. So far — not enough. Sign up!

Assured Imaging Women’s Wellness will be bringing the latest in digital mammography to Orcas Island Senior Center next week, on Thursday June 12 and Friday June 13 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Although one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer, nearly all breast cancer is treated successfully if detected early.
Assured Imaging offers a relaxed atmosphere with a friendly, professional, all-female clinical staff.
“We love coming to Orcas and offering this great service,” says Carri L. Pender, Director of Professional Services. She also adds that they need to have a minimum number of appointments to continue this service on Orcas.
All major insurance is accepted and no referral is necessary. Call 888-233.6121 to schedule your appointment.
As a bonus, patients are entered into a drawing each event day for a $25 gift card!

Great news! I am out of the country at this time, but will make an appointment as soon as I will return later in June.
Thank you!
thanks….will call for appointment
Maybe people aren’t signing up because they are poor and have no health insurance! What is the cost for someone with no insurance?
Apple, under Obamacara the poor can receive free or low-cost health care. I encourage you to contact the health insurance navigators at Orcas Family Connections, Orcas Family Health or Orcas Medical Center and sign up. I did and found the hour spent with Peggi Groundwater, the Navigator at Orcas Medical Center, to be one of the most helpful experiences of my adult life.

Thank you for posting this. Appointment is made.
make sure to ask this company if your insurance will pay the whole amount when you make your appointment. I was billed an additional $200. My insurance company, Regence Blue Shield, said the additional charge was because it was a “mobile” unit. The charge was eventually removed “this time” but only because I contested it.
