Eastsound Water is planning on flushing the water main on Sunset Ave on Tuesday April 15th. This action is being taking to improve water quality and is likely to create short term off-colored water and lower water pressure for a short time.
The flushing will begin after 9:00 AM, and water should be clear by 10:30 AM. The actual flushing will take place from the fire hydrant located on Raptor Lane. If you notice discolored water after 10:30 AM allow your water to run for 15 minutes from an outside hose bib. If the problem persists please call EWUA at 376 2127.
We expect the impact of this flushing to be limited to residents on Sunset Ave, but it is possible that impacts could be observed along N. Beach north of Mt. Baker, and along Bartel Road.
