— from John Van Lund —
The general contractor will make final preparations to route vehicular and pedestrian traffic over to the new permanent concrete bridge. Traffic will continue to be one-lane controlled by traffic signals until crews demolish the temporary bridge.
We are getting closer to completion. Early next week, one-way traffic will be routed on to the new bridge.
After the utilities on the new bridge are activated, the temporary bridge will be removed. Additional channel work and road grading will be done.
Please continue to observe the one-way traffic signals.
Save the date: A ribbon cutting ceremony by the County Council at 10:00 am on Friday March 3. Refreshments at the Community Center will follow with details yet to be worked out.
Again, thank you for your patience.
