San Juan County Health & Community Services will present on the 2023 Community Health Assessment (CHA) findings to the Board of Health in anticipation of the report’s publication next week. If you would like to learn more about the CHA, tune into this month’s Board of Health meeting in-person or online on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 11:30 a.m. This meeting will also be recorded, so you can watch it at a time convenient to you.

The information collected during this process identified the top needs our community is facing around health and wellness and will help us plan the actions and services needed to improve health in our community. The last CHA of San Juan County was completed nearly 15 years ago. It was vital for us to collect updated information, especially after the COVID-19 response, to get a full picture of the health and well-being of island residents.

The 2023 CHA will be published and available online or in-person at select locations later next week in both English and Spanish. Thank you to everyone who shared their experiences with us and made this CHA possible. We are honored by your contributions.
