— from Linda Slone —
Tune in to Classical KING FM 98.1 on Friday, September 30, at 9 p.m. and hear Romantic Treasures, recorded live during August’s Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival.
Classical KING FM’s live and recorded broadcast concert series includes one of Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival’s 2016 concerts, Romantic Treasures, performed at this year’s Festival on August 12 and 13.
The concert will air at 9 p.m. on Friday, September 30. If you were at the Festival, you will remember pianists Anne-Marie McDermott and Jon Kimura Parker (at the same piano, at the same time!), cellists Anthony Ross and Beth Rapier, violinists Sandy Yamamoto and Chee-Yun, violists Toby Appel and Aloysia Friedmann, clarinetist Michael Collins, and hornist Julie Landsman playing works by Mendelssohn, Gershwin, Dvořák, and Dohnányi.
If you were unable to attend the Festival, you are in for an amazing listening treat.
