Kids (and adults) prance around an outdoor version of musical chairs, one of many play areas in the Children’s Festival on August 1. The Festival took place on the grounds behind Salmonberry School and Children’s House in Eastsound.
With tickets purchased at the entrance to the Festival, children were able to play games, jump in an inflated “bounce house,” make crowns and hats, paint their faces, eat hot dogs and ice cream cones, roam through tipis and cubicle mazes, and many other activities.
The event was a collaborative effort between Children’s House, Kaleidoscope, Orcas Montessori School and Salmonberry School. All proceeds will be shared equally to fund scholarships for their early childhood school programs.
