20 years ago this spring, Catherine hired me to be the soprano soloist for the Orcas Choral Society’s performances of Haydn’s Missa Brevis. That was the beginning of a lovely friendship and what was a wonderful opportunity for me to use my skills as a classical soloist for certain choral works, including Bach’s “Coffee Cantata” – a real treat for me to learn and get to sing. Thank you, Catherine, for those opportunities, and for all of the wonderful music and multiple gifts you brought to Orcas Island.
