Art intake on October 22; Art Opening on October 23

The Visual Arts Committee of Orcas Center announces a new community show — “Six x Six” – to open on October 23. For this show, we will be filling the Madrona Room with a multitude of small works of art, each measuring approximately six inches by six inches. Space permitting, up to six pieces per artist will be accepted.
Community shows are open to ALL island artists, beginning and experienced alike. The purpose is to showcase island art and celebrate our creative neighbors. To participate, please bring up your artwork (ready to be displayed or hung) to the Orcas Center on Installation Day (October 22, 10:00 am to noon).

Note: Orcas Hardware, Island Hardware, Peter Mohlman Art and Darvill’s Book Store have all stocked up on 6” x 6” painting and drawing boards.
The opening for “Six x Six” will be on Friday October 23 (5:30 – 7:00 pm). Everyone is invited to the opening to enjoy great art, live entertainment, and compliment refreshments.
