Thursday, June 2, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., Eastsound Fire Station

— from Leif —

On the second day of June a conglomeration of Orcas service groups and volunteers from our community will be putting on the second Blood Drive of the year. The Lions, the Kiwanis, the Rebekahs, your Fire and Rescue dept. and someone we snagged from the Senior Center, Plus! Miss Kat’s High School students (and their cookies) are cooperating to ask your donation of life-saving blood.

Once again, we are starting one hour earlier so that busy islanders may schedule their donation during their “Noon” hour.

Reserve your time slot, go to Bloodworksnw.org site any time, or call 1-800-398-7888 during business hours. Bring your lunch, we’ll provide the soda (and fresh baked cookies).

If you are new to Orcas or visiting and unfamiliar with the Metropolis of Eastsound, the  Fire House  is just north of town, across from the airport. Walk-ins/fly-ins welcome.
