Some of you have been both interested in and concerned about the San Juan County Council workshop meetings coming up on Monday, May 16 (starting at 8:30 a.m.) and continuing on Tuesday, May 17 on “Best Available Science.” There will be a lot of interesting information circulated and the Council’s response and questions will also be informative. But most of us, though interested, can not be there in person due to work or ferry schedules.

Most of you are in luck!  These workshops, as most meetings of the Council, are streamed live and retained for a full three months for later viewing on the Council’s website. To access these and other meetings of the Council go to https://www.sanjuanco.com/council/video.aspx. You will need to download a Microsoft viewer to stream the meetings.  (For those of you, like me, with an “older” Mac – just give up and see it using a library or a friend’s computer.)  I have been assured that, after the meeting is over, you can page directly to the part of the agenda that interests you.

The workshop includes conference calls with BAS scientists.  The agenda and related materials may be obtained the week prior to the meeting on the County website at  www.sanjuanco.com/council or at the Council offices during each business day between the hours of  8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
