Orcas Islander John Barnes
Longtime Orcas Islander John Barnes has recently been dealt a series of major medical setbacks.
Friends and community members are invited to gather for a benefit concert at The Lower Tavern on Monday, July 25 at 6 p.m. Suggested cover charge is $10.00. Music will be provided by popular local musician Bruce Harvie and his band.
Event organizers Anne Ford and James McGrath are anticipating a fun-filled night of coming together as a community with a special focus on helping a friend in need.
“John Barnes’ greatest joy in life is helping others,” said Ford. “Whether you know him personally or not, we hope every islander will now come to his aid; every little bit helps.”
All funds raised at this event will go to help pay his rapidly mounting medical bills.
