— from Terry Johnson —

10th Anniversary ExhibitTerry Johnson presents the Tenth Anniversary Student Exhibition this Friday, 5:30-7 p.m., at Orcas Center.

Johnson began teaching on Orcas in 1986, ’87, and ’88 during the summers and resumed teaching year round in 2003, presenting the first Student Exhibition in 2004.

“People who had limited drawing and painting skills ten years ago are now producing beautiful work, and they’re symbiotically helping each other. I’m very proud to be working with this tight knit group of people” says Johnson, adding “I am always accepting names of people who are interested in a new Beginning Drawing course”.

Prior to moving to Orcas in 2003, Johnson taught at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle for twenty one years, resigning as a full professor in 1999.
