Friday, December 1, 3:45 p.m., Village Green
— from Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce —
The Orcas Island (WA) Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its annual tree lighting festivities for Friday, December 1.
(If we experience heavy rain and high winds in the afternoon there is a chance we will cancel this event. Call the office or check Chamber Facebook page or website for updates – www.OrcasIslandChamber.com)
Starting at 3:45 pm, Islanders and visitors should plan to join the fun on the Village Green, with hot cider and baked goodies for all in attendance. Shortly thereafter, Santa & Mrs. Claus will arrive (thanks to Orcas Fire & Rescue), with bags of toys and treats for all the kids. The Orcas Community Band will provide holiday melodies, and then at approximately 5:00 pm, the evening will be capped off with the lighting of the tree, resplendent with bright, sparkling winter lights. Don’t be late!
We thank the hard-working crew members of the Orcas Power & Light Cooperative (OPALCO) for volunteering their time to string the tree with lights.
The Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce wishes everyone the Happiest of Holiday Seasons!

We are moving indoors to the Museum. 3:45 – 5 pm. Santa & Mrs. Claus arrive at 4 pm. Hot Cider & cookies. And we want our Community Band to stay dry and warm … they have been excused from the event.
