The annual Student Art Show at Orcas Center will premier May 4th at an opening reception at Orcas Center from 3:30 to 6 p.m. The show will run thru the month of May.

The lobby will be filled with the visual art of many enthusiastic and talented Orcas High School students. Work from Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Placement level courses will be on display. The students create visual art all year long with the hope that they will get to display their work at Orcas Center.

“I think the craftsmanship of some of these young artisans will surprise the viewers when they learn their age and what may impress them even more are the serious life topics that some of the students have chosen to take on as themes for some of their artworks,” says art teacher Corey Wiscomb. “This demonstrates tremendous creative intelligence as well as skill in crafting a visual image. I am very proud of our students.”

The Madrona Room will be filled with art from elementary and middle school students.

Each year it is always exciting for the students to see their work on display, framed and labeled with their name. Please come and show your appreciation for our budding young artists.
